DAMASKO DSub RANGE

Here’s a quick overview of Damasko’s DSub range. There are three model variations available: DSub1 is a blueprint if you will for the slightly larger DSub 2 & 3 models.



Specifications for the entire DSub range are more or less the same; however the two latter models do have different dial and component setups.



All 3 models are made from hardened German Submarine steel which has extreme crack-resistance due to its high level of ductility.



German Submarine steel is also highly corrosion resistant even when used in sea water for long periods and is completely anti-magnetic.



All 3 cases are with: screwed case-backs and crowns with "DAMASKO System” crown protection and a water-resistance to 300meters.



They are all fitted with double domed Sapphire crystals with an AR-coating on both sides as well as hardened German Submarine steel bezels.



The bezels boast a patented construction with ceramic ball bearings. All 3 model’s cases and components are bead-blast finished.



DSub1, DSub2 and DSub3 all get Swiss made ETA 2824-2 Elaboré-grade automatic movements. This is where the similarities end.



While DSub1 has a more rugged crown grip and pronounced bezel teeth; its dial has been dived up into four quadrants and has more Flieger style hands than diver. DSub1 is 42mm in diameter.



DSub2 & DSub3 get classic coin-edged bezels and fluted crowns. There dials get classic Plongeur-style hands. They measure 43mm in diameter.



DSub1 is has a neat little engraved Submarine logo in-between its bottom lugs. All three models are priced 1’655€.



Thoughts? These are very German looking divers – I don’t think I’d ever choose one of a Sinn but if I did it would be DSUB2 all the way. How bout’ you?
