TUDOR Black Bay Chrono DARK

There seems to be a bit of dive watch drought at the moment, so rather than posting a load of rubbish divers just for the sake of it;

OceanicTime will instead be featuring some of the latest Swiss sports models for your delectation.

Talking of which, here’s a brand-new sports model from Tudor, the latest member of their Black Bay family and the second model from the DARK series.

Introducing the new Tudor Black Bay Chrono Dark; made to mark the Rugby World Cup 2019 and celebrate its partnership with New Zealand's national rugby team.

Tudor has released a black version of its Black Bay chronograph in a Limited Edition with the same number of timepieces as All Blacks players since the team's creation.

An additional model will be added every time a new player is selected.

Key features of the BB Chrono Dark include: a satin-brushed steel 41mm case and bracelet with a black PVD coating.

The BB family’s signature "Snowflake" hands, first introduced by Tudor in 1969 plus red 200m water-resistance text and red-tipped arrow chrono-hand.

Power comes from a Tudor Manufacture chronograph Caliber MT5813, which has been officially certified by the COSC.

It boasts a silicon balance spring, up to 70 hours of power-reserve, column wheel and vertical clutch.

The Limited Edition is with the same number of timepieces as there have been All Blacks players since the team's creation, its LE# is engraved on the case-back.

Thoughts? Couldn’t give a monkeys about the All Blacks, it’s a BB with chronograph and a black coating, which is good enough.

Personally DLC would have been pref. on the other hand PVD does allow for a bit of wabi sabi if you’re into that sorta’ thing.
