Two years later, CB came out with their debut in-house designed dive watch and so launched the MECHANIC OCEAN 300m in 2018.
Meanwhile Crafter Blue assisted another brand UNDIVE to design a strap for their diver’s watch.
Unfortunately the watch had already discontinued owing to some issues. TBH I am not sure what those were.
Anyway by the end of 2018, Crafter Blue was given the go-ahead to reissue this watch which they upgraded and enhanced in Switzerland.
Today, CB is proud to launch their first Swiss made diver’s watch, the Hyperion Ocean 600m.
The watch is available now for PRE-ORDER on Kickstarter priced 599USD. Its original MSRP is 749USD.
The Hyperion Ocean aims to combine vintage styling with modern technology. Its striking sky-blue second indicator is said to perfectly reflect its spirit.
Measuring 45mm in diameter, the Hyperion Ocean is water-resistance to 600m and has a Helium Escape Valve and so meets the needs for SAT diving.
It is powered by the well-known Swiss made Sellita SW200, an alternative to the ETA 2824, providing similar levels of accuracy and reliability.
To enhance the performance of the timepiece, the Hyperion Ocean has a soft iron shield AKA Faraday Cage which surrounds the movement to resist against magnetic disturbances.
Crafter Blue has been able to draw upon its vast knowledge in the field of diver strap making to develop and engineer –
a high-performance vulcanized rubber strap with a tailor-made curved end for their new diver.
The Hyperion Ocean will be mounted on Crafter Blue S2 rubber strap which features 15 holes, double the amount that are typically found on straps, offering increased flexibility in their length.
So far, the Hyperion Ocean has two versions. HOSS001.B.R is an all Stainless steel model; and HOSS001B.B.R is a Stainless steel model featuring a black PVD coated bezel.
