Here’s some more faux bronze from Alpina who have just released these two bronzed beauties into the Seastrong Diver Heritage family.
But these guys are rocking fake tans because their deeply bronzed bodies (sexy as they are) are in effect spray on, not the real thing.
The new Alpina Seastrong Diver Heritage has a 42mm in diameter bronze color PVD Stainless steel case with dual compressor-style screw-down crowns at 2 and 4 o’clock.
The top crown has cross-hatching and is used to adjust the rotating inner diver’s bezel while the bottom crown is signed with an Alpina logo; it is used to set the time and date.
The watch resists water pressure up to 30 bar, corresponding to a diving depth of 300 meters.
The Alpina Seastrong Diver Heritage uses an automatic movement based on a Sellita SW 200 movement modified by Alpina and named; the AL-525 caliber.
This is a 26-jewel self-winding caliber with a 38-hour power reserve and 28,800/h frequency.
The watches are available with an elegant brown color dial which features either a brown or cream colored rotating inner diver’s bezel with brown or beige markers.
There’s a date window at 4 o’clock, rose gold-plated indexes and hands with white luminous treatment.
Thoughts? These look very pretty, it’s true but they aren’t real bronze only a colored IP coating.
If you don’t like the organic nature of bronze then perhaps PVD is a good fit but otherwise – get one of the steel versions.
