
the Swiss brand have released a new 4000 meter water-resistant dive watch which is bigger and badder than anything they have previously released.

In 1969, DELMA launched their first divers' watch which prompted the development of a range of marine watches spanning several decades.

In 2011 DELMA became one of only a few Swiss brands to release a production mechanical diver’s watch with a water-resistance of 3000 meters, the Blue Shark I.

In 2016, the Blue Shark II was introduced with a number of key upgrades such as modified bezel notches offering improved ergonomics, specifically when being handled with diver’s gloves.

For 2019, DELMA has released the 3rd generation Blue Shark, an ultra-resistant divers' watch that can reach an impressive depth of 4000m.

The 4000m depth-rating, however was specifically chosen as the Swiss Alps region where Delma are located is home to some 480 mountain peaks that exceed 4000m in altitude.

The Blue Shark III’s 4000m / 13120ft depth-rating was officially tested and certified by the Swiss PST Laboratory for Product Safety Testing in Zwillikon, Zurich.

Its robust case measures 47mm in diameter with a thickness of 18mm thick. It is equipped with a number of professional diver’s features such as and HEV, and brightly glowing Swiss lumed hands and markers.

Special diver’s features include a DLC diver’s bezel and a redesigned crown-guard.
The Blue Shark III is also fitted with a solid Stainless steel adjustable bracelet which is attached to the lugs via specialist security screws.

A custom tool is provided for strap chances between the steel bracelet and the custom rubber diver’s strap that also comes with the watch.

Power comes from a Swiss made ETA 2824 automatic movement with a beat rate of 28,800 vph, 25 jewels and 38hrs of autonomy.

The Blue Shark III will be officially unveiled this month at Basel World 2019. It has an MSRP of 1190CHF (steel) 2090CHF (DLC) and is delivered in a special wooden presentation box.
