Actually we had a brief look at the new DIVER collection from Franck Dubarry, last year.
The collection consists of 4 models, 3 of which have carbon composite cases and one, DIV-02 with a Damascus steel case.
The watches feature oversized minute and hour hands which have been fully tattooed with a Maori pattern.
The divers bezels are made of composite carbon, while the skeletonized dials are made of an innovative translucent epoxy resin, a material used for the first time in watchmaking.
The watches are shock-proof and water-resistant to 300 meters.
Specially designed Big Date wheels are powered by a Dubois Depraz DD/14580 automatic movement with custom galvanic treatment on date wheels and perlage.
Prices are from 10,900USD. Thoughts? Frank Dubarry is a new brand, launched in 2016. While I appreciate the use of high-tech materials, I’m not really digging the high-tech look.
