UNITY Watches BLACK PEARL 300M

Based in the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, Barcelona, UNITY Watches are a boutique watch brand specializing in rugged sports watches –

their timepieces have distinct look to them which is owed largely to the brand’s signature case that has 4 large bolted-on claws (or perhaps brackets) that clamp the watch case securely together with a vice-like grip.

With the introduction of their latest model, the BLACK PEARL, we have two firsts for the brand; firstly this is UNITY’s first model not to include the brand’s signature case claws – the reason why?

Another first for UNITY, as this is their debut diver’s model which called for a new case design in order to accommodate an all too important feature of any diver’s watch, a unidirectional diver’s bezel.

Based on a simple yet functional concept, the Black Pearl with its 43mm in diameter by 45mm lug-to-lug case has been designed to be worn comfortably on all wrist sizes.

Its case has been machined form AISI 316L Stainless steel with a combination brushed and polished finish.

This is equipped for the first time on a UNITY timepiece with a unidirectional rotational diver’s bezel that has engraved markers which have been filled with SuperLuminova.

Furthers diver’s features include: screw-down crown (4 o’clock position), 2mm-thick AR-treated flat Sapphire crystal, screw-down case-back with special diver-inspired engraved motif and 300 meters of water-resistance.

Special features include: applied red ‘’Black Pearl’’ dial script with matching prominent red minute hand and red-tipped seconds hand, the same script is engraved on the diver’s clasp.

The dial is in Brilliant Black with applied circular index polished frames filled with C1 SuperLuminova. Power comes from a Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement.

The UNITY Black Pearl is an Inidegogo crowd-funded project. Total production is limited 100 watches. It has special PRE-ORDER price of 520€. Expected ETA is March 2019.
