CRONUS Prototype 2 DESERT SAND

Here’re a couple of scorching hot pics of the 2018 German Design Award nominee in the category for excellent product designs, the CRONUS Prototype 2.

Seen here on its canvas strap on the baking sands of the Namib Desert, Namibia, the Prototype 2 looks to be the ultimate dune diver but make no mistake this watch is far happier getting wet.



Equipped with a patent-pending crown locking system controlled axially by a spring, and a red safety ring that warns wearers of unsafe conditions, this robustly built waterproof watch is highly stress-resistant and unaffected by external influences.



Every watch is ‘Made in Germany’ with its case manufactured by Glashütte watchmakers and assembled in strictly limited batches.

Power comes from a Swiss ETA 2824-2 automatic movement with a stop-seconds function and a power reserve of 40 hours.
