Hard-wearing and ultra-lightweight, TAG Heuer releases one of its most modern takes on the Aquaracer, a new collection available in three looks – this is the Aquaracer Carbon, but only to an extent.
Hints of blue, yellow or rose gold have been chosen to complement the dials. In this instance, it’s blue.
However, nice as these dials are, they are in fact made with an imitation carbon effect, not forged carbon. Oh!
Nor are the modestly-sized 41mm Aquaracer cases, these are black PVD-covered Titanium – not a bad thing in itself, but where’s the carbon?
Proudly sat aloft the Titanium case are stunning carbon diving bezels. So this is where it is.
Thanks to the random injection of carbon fibers into a resin pressed at high temperatures, each piece is unique, boasting an exclusive black and grey marbled pattern.
The Aquaracer Carbon watches are presented on black textile straps with top-stitching coded to the colors of the dial. Each are equipped with automatic calibers and have water-resistance to 300m.
Thoughts? Great looking watches would be better with carbon dials or better still all forged carbon cases.
