For 2018, Oris has introduced a new diving-chrono to add to its ever-growing collection of Aquis dive watches.
The new Aquis Chronograph which is an update of one of the family’s most formidable dive watches –
like last year’s redesigned Aquis models, now features the same slimmer, more streamlined case and everything else that goes with it.
While the case, lugs, crown protectors and bracelet have all been carefully rethought, the impressive diving credentials of the Aquis line remain.
Its 45.5mm multi-piece Stainless steel case is water-resistant to 500 meters and features a unidirectional rotational diver’s bezel with a scratch-resistant black ceramic inlay.
No matter your strap option - all boast Oris’s inventive folding clasps with sliding-sledge diver’s extension system that allows the wearer to adjust strap length without taking the watch off.
The Aquis Chronograph is powered by am Oris Cal. 774 automatic chronograph movement which is based on a Sellita SW 500, with a date at 6 o’clock and chronograph function.
The dial is in a lovely deep graduated blue, which has become very popular since Rolex set the trend with their DS D-BLUE. Are you still digging it, though or is graduated blue getting a bit boring?
The watch has Swiss retail price of 3400CHF on either of the strap options or 3600CHF on it Stainless steel bracelet.
Oris is having a bumper year with more divers models introduced than any other Swiss brand. What are your thoughts? Do you have a favorite?
