UNIMATIC U1-DZN DRAB OLIVE

Unimatic of Italy have released a whole load of new Limited Editions for 2017 – these include some Special Editions as well as Limited Series of their flagship Modello UNO military diver.

I have cherry picked the U1-DZ (post below) and U1-DZN Drab Olive models to show you because let’s face it, they look absolutely amazing – especially this model, the U1-DZN with its black DLC case.

However the new collections include black, white and blue models – some with divers bezels and some without. The Modello Uno ref. U1-DZ is Limited Edition of 200 pieces.

It features a highly legible matte Drab Olive dial with maxi marker in white C1 SuperLumiNova lume to match the 12hr pearl on the aluminum bezel insert plus an off-white open seconds / minute scale and graphic trim.

Time is displayed thanks to the matching phantom ladder hands set and a drab olive reverse lollipop seconds hand with an off-white tip.

Divers features include: a double domed anti-reflective Sapphire crystal and solid 316 brushed Stainless steel finished with a scratch resistant black DLC diamond-like carbon coating case and with a 2mm-thick screw-down case-back and 8mm in diameter crown with high quality gaskets - providing an individually tested water-resistance to 300m.

Timing accuracy is provided by the NH35A automatic movement which they have tuned to 21600bph with 41h power reserve and hacking seconds hand.

U1-DZ OLIVE DRAB comes on a 22mm Drab Olive Unimatic heavy duty nylon NATO strap plus a camouflage Unimatic silicone rubber one-piece strap with a DLC-treated Stainless steel signed custom buckle.

The case-back features Unimatic’s signature conversion scale engraving along with the watch’s individual LE number.

MSRP is €585 (£530) + VAT.

  1. I really appreciate the minimal design and the general quality of Unimatic looks on point, but more then 700 euros for a NH35 its kinda steep. At the same price u can buy a Squale 1521 , it has a lot of history plus it comes with the 2824.
