MÜHLE GLASHÜTTE S.A.R. Rescue-Timer BRONZE

Celebrating 15 Years of loyal service, Mühle-Glashütte’s famous S.A.R. Rescue-Timer goes BRONZE! It was in February of 2002, that the very first S.A.R. Rescue-Timers were presented to the captains of the rescue fleet of the German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS).

The tough 1000 meter water-resistant, Mühle S.A.R. Rescue-Time has been accompanying rescuers even on the harshest of missions carried out by them ever since. The new S.A.R. Rescue-Timer BRONZE has been made in celebration of the 15th anniversary of its use by the brave sea rescuers of the DGzRS.

Although the original S.A.R. rescue-Time has remained unchanged since 2002 (it needs to stay the same due to its specific function), a Special Edition allowed the time and scope to really go overboard, especially in terms of design.

This is why the first special feature of the anniversary model was the selection of a new case material that changes a little bit every day. The mid-section of the case of the special edition is made of Aluminum Bronze alloy, a material used to make ship’s propellers and such.

Limited to a total of just 150 timepieces, the new S.A.R. Rescue-Timer Bronze can be paired with two different straps. As well as the classic Mühle rubber strap with a black DLC-coated folding clasp, the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer BRONZE also comes with a canvas bund-style strap.

The dial of the S.A.R. Rescue-Timer Bronze is fully coated in SuperLumiNova and its skeletonized hands are with a black coating. The hands clearly stand out against the cream-colored face enabling wearers to clearly view the date, which is enlarged by a cyclops.
