You know how every once in a while you catch a glimpse of a really great looking diver only to later discover upon further investigation that it’s quartz powered?
Or that it is fitted with a mineral crystal rather than Sapphire; aargh! This rather nice looking diver’s model from a North American watch brand called Szanto suffers from both of the above disappointments.
However don’t let put you off what is potentially a very nice looking dive watch.
Yes, it is fitted with a highly accurate Japanese made quartz 3-hand movement with date function and
yes, it is also equipped with a K1 hardened mineral crystal that is actually more shatter-resistant than a sapphire crystal!
So perhaps we’d better see what else the 5100 and 5120 Series Divers have going for them. They both share the same 46mm inn diameter brushed Stainless steel cases. A 5100 Series is also available in Black IP.
These are fitted with your typical divers features: a screw-down case-back and crown, a unidirectional rotational divers bezel and 500 meters of water-resistance.
While their dial boast SuperLumiNova filled hands and markers. I must say that the green markers look great. Nice handset, too.
The 5100 Series come with full stainless steel divers bracelets while the 5120 Series is fitted with a water-resistant Italian leather strap with signature Szanto buckle.
Prices start from 295USD up to 375USD. Follow the link embedded, below for more info. For reference, OceanicTime has no affiliation with Szanto.
