This is one of these watches where I’m gonna go straight to the price.
The new Ocean 1 Bronze’s has a VAT inclusive price of 450euro, and if you're outside the (soon not to include Britain) EU ;-) – it’s just 379euro.
That’s entry level boutique money, but this is a proper German engineered Swiss made diver with an Elabore grade Swiss ETA movement.
On top of this, the new STEINHART Ocean 1 Bronze boasts a satin-finished bronze case – the measurements of which are:
a 42mm diameter (not including crown) by 14mm thick. I’m not sure of its lug-to-lug length, but the lug-width is 22mm. It’s overall weight is a mere 140g.
Okay back to this fine looking watch. The dial is a metallic grey – but it really looks like a brushed blackened steel in my opinion.
The dial is complimented with a set of golden hands and raised markers that have been filled with Swiss C3 SuperLuminova.
That Elbore grade movement I mentioned is, an ETA 2824-2 Elabore automatic with: 25 jewels and a power-reserve of approx. 42hrs.
Divers features include: a Stainless steel screwed and engraved caseback, a domed Sapphire crystal with double anti-reflecting coating on its inside,
and a water-resistance of 300 meters / 990 feet 30 ATM acc. to DIN – not some miserly 200m!
Finally this bronzed beauty (apologies for the cliché) comes on either a hand-stitched fabric or leather band or rubber divers strap with a folding clasp.
Follow the link HERE to order . . .
I wish it had both a leather or rubber strap Plus a complementar textil or NATO strap, like Tudor offers them to purchased of the Heritage Black Bay.
