By TLex With its naval history and classic style, the Seamaster 300 has been JB's dive watch of choice since the days of GoldenEye in 1995, perfectly reflecting 007’s character.
Now, Omega have produced a new Limited Edition Seamaster 300 in celebration of SPECTRE, the 24th Bond film, so that fans and watch collectors will be able to buy the actual model worn by Daniel Craig in the film.
What makes this latest Seamaster 007 LE so special is that, unlike previous models that have gone before it, it has done away with cheesy 007 motifs etc making way for some really nice and subtle features.
The watch features a bi-directional, rotational divers bezel, made from black, polished ceramic, combined with a LiquidMetal® 12hr scale, so that time can be kept with any country in the world.
Other unique features include a "lollipop" central seconds hands, as well as the 5-stripe black and gray NATO strap. A 007 gun logo has been engraved on the bracelet's strap holder.
Each watch has its own unique serial number engraved on the back along with the SPECTRE film logo.
Powering the watch is the highly innovative OMEGA Master Co-Axial caliber 8400, a revolutionary movement in its own right.
This special dive watch will be limited to just 7,007 pieces. It will be available in selected boutiques from September.
Daniel Craig went to see production of the new OMEGA Seamaster 300 SPECTRE Limited Edition, whilst on a special visit to the OMEGA factory in Villeret, Switzerland. He was given a guided tour, as well as exclusive access to the factory’s assembly line. He can be seen wearing one of the watches, above.
