By TLex Introducing the new SportTaucher Bronze from Archimede, a brand of the famous German case maker ICKLER.
The professional Archimede SportTaucher has found many fans over the years and Ickler have been asked many times if they would offer their special divers watch with a Bronze case.
They are delighted to finally introduce the new Archimede SportTaucher Bronze diver, which is available in three different versions:
The '60', a classic divers watch with a 60 minutes scale, the 'K' a compass watch with a 360° scale for determining the cardinal directions and the 'GMT', a world time watch with 12 hours for dual time zones.
Ickler have used the same Bronze CuSn8 alloy (consisting of 92% copper and 8% tin) that they use for their bronze Pilots watches.
Each Bronze case has been engraved in between its lugs - with the 'ICKLER 1924' logo at one end and the word 'BRONZE' at the other end.
The modest 40.5mm case has been brushed without any further treatment, so that it will develop its own characteristic bronze vintage patina over time. It has a water-resistance of 30 ATM.
Both the crown and the buckle are also made of Bronze. The solid screwdown caseback, however is in steel. It protects a reliable Swiss automatic movement, the Sellita SW 200.
There is an option for a Sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Both it and the top crystal have an anti-reflective coating.
The watches are presented on black Kevlar style straps with contrasting white stitching and 'ARCHIMEDE' engraved CuSn8 bronze buckles.
The Archimede SportTaucher Bronze is priced 980euro (inc. VAT) or 823.53 (exe. VAT). It will be shipped within 1-2 weeks after receipt of payment.
The SportTaucher with Nato strap is priced EUR 950euro (inc. VAT) or 798.32 (exe. VAT). More versions with Nato straps will follow soon.
