Special features of the watch include: a special mil.-style case finish, a destro (lef-handed) left screwdown crown, a Plexiglass acrylic crystal bezel with luminous markers in 5-min increments, a highly domed Plexiglass acrylic crystal and a black Radium tension ring.

Beating away inside the handmade beater is a vintage Glashütte Spezimatik automatic movement, protected by an anti-magnetic cover. The watch comes on an original VDB handmade strap with a VDB buckle. It is attached with screwed lugs.

This is a single piece, priced 7500€. Fantastic as it is, I think the question would all like the answer to is - will the VDB I's design ever be used for a more affordable production series and if so, when because one piece is not enough!?
