By TLex The new Steel EVOLUTION from TechnoMarine features a very special 'stone washed' finish. Yes, just like your jeans. You really can't tell form the images, but the idea is that the watch case has a patina that it has gained from being left on the beach and exposed to the elements.
Features of the watch include: A Stainless steel case with unique stone-washing treatment, a black PVD coated insert, a unidirectional rotating divers bezel, a water-resistance of 20atm / 200 m /660ft, a Swiss Ronda 5040D quartz movement with hours, minutes, second, date and chronograph, and a black soft touch silicone strap with colored under-layer and colored stitching.
Can't say I'm in love to be honest, but it's good to see TM moving away from the prophylactic-style (was that too harsh?) rubber case moldings and I am intrigued by the aged steel effect, even though my mate Alessandro Baldieri had already pioneered the technique for the PALOMBARI.
From TM Steel Evolution, TechnoMarine’s next generation steel watch, has come ashore. This fresh interpretation of a steel chronograph has a stonewashed case that seems to have been sculpted by slow churning waves. As the focal point of the watch, the case’s gentle patina gives the impression of a timepiece that is both well worn and carefully styled.
