The case is home to a Japanese made Miyota 8215 mechanical automatic with 21 jewels, 40 hours of power reserve and 21,600 beats per hour. Functions include: hours, minutes, sweep seconds and quick set date. The watch will be supplied with a black rubber divers strap and a 316L Stainless steel bracelet with solid screwed end links and a micro-adjustable flip lock clasp.

ReplyDeleteI'm loving the plongeur hands and face. A very nice case shape too. What can i say, if I had it I wouldn't go anywhere near 500m but it's nice to know that if I did, they'd still be able to tell the time as they fish out my crushed body from the depths!!

ReplyDeleteThis watch offers several looks. Since it's face is clean and uncluttered, it would look just as good at a board meeting as it would several hundred meters under water. I also like that the size is kept manageable... perhaps its me, but the 50mm and larger watches are getting a bit old.

ReplyDeleteWhile it is still the same case design as 300m I think the 500m is now more toolish. 500m bracelet has bigger screws and now in all links, awesome.

Bezel - Numbers are now thinner and sharper and on the black bezel lume filled, another +
The dial: 500m has no dial ring and no minute marks, imo the dial makes the now smaller watch appear bigger, clean, easy to read and excellent lume.

ReplyDeleteThis is a really beautiful timepiece. Great amount of luminecent material used at the hour markers will provide great visibility at night. The fact it comes with the black rubber strap and the stainless steel bracelet it awesome. I'm really interested in the anti reflective material on the inside of the watch. This watch is a beautiful piece of art. I would be honored to own it and show it off often.
