By TLex How cool are these? Bamford Watch Department of London have collaborated with King Features Syndicate and Darren Romanelli AKA Dr. Romanelli of fashion brand DRx. to create two limited edition Rolex Submariners.
Apart from their custom finishes and ceramic bezels, the Subs feature two military cartoon icons, Beetle Bailey and Popeye the Sailor. The dials kind of speak for themselves.
Each of them integrate their respective characters into the watch face and hands. You can see that both Popeye and Beetle Bailey's hands are used as hour and minute indicators à la Mickey Mouse watch!
Whilst the case backs of each watch are engraved with the Dr. Romanelli logo along with their limited edition numbers.
Each of the watches come with their own custom comic strips and are fittingly presented in custom Army and Navy vintage ammo boxes.
