Here’s something special from Delma, a Limited Edition version of their 3000 meter diver with a stealthy new black DLC-coated case.
The Blue Shark II was first released at Baselworld 2011 but is back and looking better than ever.
The new Blue Shark II Black Limited Edition from Delma boasts all the same impressive professional diver’s features as the 2011 Blue Shark did.
So that’s: a thick AR-treated Sapphire crystal, a massive screw-down crown and case-back, an integrated automatic HEV, a lumed unidirectional rotational divers bezel, an impressive 3000 meter depth-rating and ISO 6425 compliance.
Only this time around it has been treated to a sleek Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) coating.
Besides the obvious aesthetic enhancements offered by DLC it also gives the case an exceptional-level of scratch-resistance – second only in hardness to diamond.
This means that the new Blue Shark II Black LE not only has an exceptional level of water-resistance but also boasts an extremely high level of scratch resistance.
Besides the now enhanced durability offered, the DLC-coating has given Delma’s deep-diving Blue Shark II a whole new lease of life.
The orange elements such as those found on the hands, Arabic markers and the rehaut running around the outside of the dial as well as the luminous dive-time scale on the bezel are all beautifully contrasted against the new shiny black case making for a far more dramatic look.
Special features of the dial include a textured surface and vintage-style hands with a prominent serpent-headed minute hand seconds indicator with a large arrow-head.
The generous 47mm in diameter DLC-coated Stainless steel case of the Blue Shark II Black Edition houses a reliable Swiss automatic mechanical movement.
It is presented on a black diamond-studded genuine rubber divers strap with a DLC-coated signed steel buckle.
The Blue Shark II Black has been produced in an exclusive Limited Edition series of just 99 pieces priced 2100CHF.
