The watch comes with a very special sandwich dial created using Timascus (Titanium Damascus) and Zirconium (ceramic) with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9.
H2O have employed two different Titanium grades plus a double layer of Zirkonium.
Meanwhile hand-polishing, cutting and etching these materials brings to the fore a spectacular color play depending on the specific lighting conditions and viewing angles.
The Kalmar 2 Carbon boasts a made from forged carbon. It measures 44.5mm in diameter and is water-resistant to 2’000 meters.
Carbon is a composite material based on carbon fiber that is almost unheard in this segment of the watch market; especially not with this level of quality.
It has previously only been used by upper echelon brands such as Audmars Piguet and Officine Panerai et al.
As well as providing exceptional technical performance, the Carbon used by H2O has an uneven, matte black appearance
Which when cut results in an example that is utterly unique – just as you might see if you were to cut through a piece of fine wood exposing the grain.
This is accentuated by the use of H2O’s turbine-style bezel. Power comes from a Swiss Sellita SW300 automatic movement with a beat-rate of 28.800vph.
