TUDOR Black Bay Bronze SLATE GREY

Three years after it debuted at Baselworld 2016 with its chocolate brown dial, Tudor’s award-winning heritage model, the Black Bay BRONZE is back.

You might have seen the odd Black Bay Bronze or two floating about since then but those were special editions such as the one-off piece created for ONLY WATCH in 2017 or that sexy BUCHERER BB Bronze model.

For 2019 the Black Bay Bronze is back in production, boasting a cool new colorway in a subdued slate grey which has been used for its vintage–style domed dial and its anodized aluminum bezel insert.

The 2019 BB Bronze Ref. 79250BA gets the same 43mm case made from high-performance Al Bronze. Al Bronze is actually the toughest of bronze alloys and is widely used in the maritime industry.

The satin finished Bronze case features a domed Sapphire crystal and an Al Bronze winding crown; it is home to the latest Tudor Manufacture Caliber MT5601, which is COSC-certified and equipped with an Si balance spring and 70hrs of power-reserve.

The Manufacture Caliber MT5601 that drives the 2019 Black Bay Bronze model measures 33.8 millimeters, the widest diameter of all TUDOR's calibers.

Its openwork rotor is satin-brushed with sand-blasted details, and its bridges and plate have alternating polished sand-blasted surfaces and laser decorations.

The MT5601 is protected by the watch’s solid Stainless steel case-back. Tudor has IP treated it with Bronze-colored PVD. Water-resistance, BTW is 200m.

Finally the 2019 watch comes on a color-coded slate grey NATO woven jacquard strap with a single gold pinstripe running through its center, or an optional aged slate-grey leather strap.

Thoughts? It looks stunning what else is there to say?

Other than, Tudor should consider giving the BB a matte ceramic bezel inlay rather than aluminum. Just holds up so much better.
