Here’s a look at three new additions that have recently joined Zodiac’s vintage diver family, the Sea
The special versions have been designed in cooperation with TOPPER Jewelers and legendary rock drummer, Eric Singer.
Echoing the styles of the late Sixties and early Seventies, the Rally was inspired by one of the rarest, but most sought-after references in the vintage Zodiac catalog, which earned its moniker for its racy, checkered flag-style bezel.
Available in Blue or Yellow, the Rally timepieces are updated with a few details exclusive to Topper; like a red-tipped seconds hand which was custom-manufactured to match the “shovel” style hour and minute hands, and color-matched detailing on the dial.
There’s a black dial with a yellow bezel and matching dial accents, and a blue dégradé dial, with a bright blue sunburst at the center that darkens as it moves outward.
This Sea Wolf Rally Topper Edition is fitted with Zodiac’s excellent vintage-style jubilee bracelet, which features individual center beads, and an equally clever spring-loaded clasp, adjusting automatically to your wrist throughout the day.
The White Wolf ref. ZO9208 has the first Zodiac’s 40mm Stainless steel compression case and flag dial (denoted by the four raised triangle hour markers). It was inspired by co-designer Eric Singer’s favorite Zodiac watches in the archive, which exhibited colorful Bakelite bezels, often faded to a ghost-white after prolonged sun exposure.
Both Rally and White Wolf LEs are powered by Zodiac’s automatic STP3-13-3 calibre with upgrades, such as the perlage on the base plates and bridges, as well as a swan neck regulation system for added long-term servicing and stability.
