ROMAIN JEROME Deep Blue OCTOPUS 888FT

RJ have brought out a new 25 piece Limited Edition of their OCTOPUS Diver. The new Deep Blue Octopus is all about the massive yet freakishly cool black DLC-coated copper octopus that dominates the dial.



This dial has a sea urchin skeleton-textured brass base with inserts in white blue-glowing C1 SuperLuminova that has been covered in transparent blue resin.



Special features of the Deep Blue Octopus include: large blue-glowing SuperLuminova filled eyes and hands as well as all those tiny bubbles on the dial. The hands are in satin-brushed black gold.



The screw-down crown at 9 o’clock is in black PVD-coated steel and is inspired by the Titanic’s portholes. A 2nd crown also in black PVD-coated steel can be found at 3 o’clock – it is for operating the internal rotating bezel.



A blue SuperLuminova time-indicator is also placed at 12h on the inner rotating bezel while the notched outer bezel is in black PVD-coated rusted and stabilized steel infused with actual steel taken from the wreck of the Titanic itself! :-/



Powering this 888FT (270M) sea-dwelling creature is a mechanical self-winding movement with 23 jewels, a beat-rate of 28,800 vph and a power-reserve of 42 hours.

The Deep Blue Octopus comes on a black rubber divers strap with an underside featuring octopus-type suction cups!
