TERRA CIELO MARE Artiglio

By TLex Introducing the Artiglio from TCM (Terra Cielo Mare) named after and dedicated to the crew of the steamship Artiglio and its successor, the Artiglio II, which were 2 important relcit recovery ships from the 1920’s and 30’s.



The Artiglio was responsible for the recovery of the treasure of the Egypt, commissioned by the Lloyds of London. One such deep sea diver working off of the Artiglio was Alberto Gianni, who made use of the latest deep-sea diving technologies such as the butoscopic tower, a diving bell of the era produced by Galeazzi of Italy, which is engraved on the watch's caseback.



The TCM Artiglio has a thick Stainless steel and Titanium case, that has been fitted with an imposing 'bull’s-eye' crystal and a manual Helium Escape Valve. Along with a thick caseback, these allow the watch to reach depths of almost 1000 meters, equal to a pressure of 100 atmospheres.



The watch case measures a formidable 52mm in diameter, which is going to be too big for most; despite this, the case has a really nice shape to it - especially the side profiles. Further divers features include: a unidirectional rotional divers bezel with elasped dive-time scale and luminous hands and markers.



There are the dial variants available: blue, black and lighting - a full lume dial. The watch is powered by a Swiss made mechanical automatic movement with calendar function. More details can be had by following the link embedded below . . .
