CLERC Hydroscaph Steel GMT

From Clerc Genève Hydroscaph Steel GMT Mechanical techno-luxury with a sporting twist - The world’s most sophisticated diver’s watch, the Hydroscaph Steel GMT is water-resistant to 1,000 metres and reinvents sport in deep waters. Whether brightly coloured, entirely gold-clad or all-back, its sturdiness and dynamism will appeal to all adventurers in search of space and action.

New material, new colours, new dials: the Hydroscaph Steel reinvents the flagship collection from Clerc Genève by accentuating the key factors behind its success: its distinctive octagonal case and extreme readability even in the dark prevailing in the depths of the ocean.

The Hydrograph Steel is a sleekly sophisticated watch housed in an ultra-complex 75-part case that called for a whole new construction process, and offering an unprecedented vision of ocean-going fine watchmaking. Water-resistant to 1000 meters, this exceptional model meets the highest standards of Swiss craftsmanship and is equipped with an automatic helium escapement valve as well as lateral reinforcements.

Its exclusive self-winding C606 movement drives the hours, minutes, seconds and the power-reserve display at 6 o’clock, as well as the window-type date at 3 o’clock and the dual time-zone indication at 12 o’clock – adjustable by means of a dedicated crown at 10 o’clock.

Bright colours The new Hydroscaph Steel GMT features several case options: in polished steel, blackened steel or two-tone steel and 18K red gold. The iconic Hydroscaph style signature, its octagonal case shape based on a perfect square combined with a perfect circle, is spectacularly highlighted in this generously sized 49.6mm model equipped with lugs that ideally adjust to all wrist sizes and shapes and even over a diving suit.

The rotating bezel in steel or 18K gold

according to the version, pivots thanks to a retractable flap on a crown integrated into the case middle at 2 o’clock. Returning the flap to its initial position securely locks the bezel, thus avoiding any risk of accidental deregulation while diving.

The face of the Hydroscaph Steel has adopted new shades while maintaining perfect readability. On the all-steel models, the dual time-zone hand as well as the power-reserve display come in bright yellow or vivid blue, lending an extremely sporty and dynamic touch; the blackened steel version takes on subtle shades of black and grey; and the two-tone variation features gold-plated hands and white or black hour-markers.
