ROLEX Yacht-Master 40

This is the new Oyster Perpetual YACHT-MASTER 40, Rolex’s iconic nautical watch released in a collection with three equally stunning looks -

of which one has a luxurious chocolate dial and a Rolesor case – made with a combination of 904L Steel and 18ct Everose Gold, then a further two versions in Platinum and 904L Steel.

Rolesor is a Rolex term for two metals that have been used in combination: precious such as 18ct Gold is used for its lustre while highly resistant 904L Steel is used for its strength and reliability.

The version with the light blue details has dark rhodium dial that has been plated with actual rhodium, which is one of the rarest and most valuable precious metals.

Polished raised numerals and graduations stand out clearly against its matt, sand-blasted background.

Although the Yacht-Master is first and foremost a nautical watch – it is still endowed with typical divers features: a Sapphire crystal, a screwdown crown and caseback and a unidirectional timing bezel. Water-resistance is 100m.

The Yacht-Master 40 is equipped with calibre 3135, a self-winding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex.

Like all Rolexes, the Yacht-Master has successfully undergone a series of TESTs conducted by Rolex in their own laboratories according to their own criteria, which exceed watchmaking norms and standards.
